A dumb ad to promote a smart shopping tool

For the annual Youtube Skippies Competition we had to promote MilkRun’s convenience (the nation’s biggest grocery delivery service owned by Woolworths) and Youtube’s new interactive ad format: the ‘send to phone’ button.

We created the ultimate shortcut to shopping - A promo code so long, you had to send it to your phone. To promote this, we made this silly little earworm musical. (And the entire set – from puppets to kitchen).

Results
This winning entry scored the highest ad recall and click through rate, sending the team to Google’s office in Singapore where we will attend workshops on the future of innovation and creativity.

 
 

When viewers clicked send to phone button via their smart TV, this promo code was sent to their phone which they could redeem in app.
